Northmead Junior School Choose e¹

Northmead's wish to reduce cost drove it away from looking at support-heavy, onsite systems, or products priced per workstation, opting instead for web-based e¹.

Northmead serves a community which includes approximately 460 pupils and 50 staff.

'We chose e¹ for a multitude of reasons - we did not have to support the system at school, we could access the system from anywhere using just a web browser and it was priced per site rather than per user. All of these factors meant we could see substantial savings from the word go.' said David Stevens, ICT Manager. Another consideration in the selection process was the future integration of the MIS with a Learning Platform. Although at the time Learning Platforms were relatively new, it was clear that they would become a key component in education delivery.
